I was delighted to hear this afternoon that LVMH have invested in JW Anderson, the fashion label named after its Irish born designer Jonathan William Anderson. LVMH have also offered Anderson the role of creative directorship at Loewe, their legacy Spanish luxury house founded in 1846 - a position to be vacated by Stuart Vevers, who is heading to Coach next year.
In an interview with WWD, Anderson called LVMH the "Oxford University of luxury goods,", indicating his awareness of what he may come to learn and achieve (especially in terms of his business growth and development) as part of the LVMH family. Congrats Mr. Anderson. This means big things for Anderson, Loewe and JW Anderson over the next few years.
