Last week Chanel opened their new flagship store here in Melbourne in one of the most daring and exciting parts of the city, Flinders Lane. Chanel for years has been positioned next to the ultra-swanky Westin Hotel and was seen as the start position for what many see as the premier shopping strip in Melbourne, or what the locals like to call the Paris end of Collins Street. To support the new flagship store, Chanel decided to take over The Age newspaper with a spectacular wrap featuring front and back illustrations by Karl Lagerfeld and inside a double page spread of their current advertising campaign. It certainly made an impact as too did the new store which is incredible.
