Its been another crazy busy week at the agency, with lots of hustle and bustle thanks to the usual goings on in the world of media communications. Immersing oneself in the process of creating communication strategies for a variety of clients is fun, but a lot of hard work and so, by the end of the week I am ready to collapse and recharge the batteries. What is amazing is that Christmas is just a few weeks away and when I think how fast this year has gone - its just crazy. One of the best things about being Irish is the many Christmas traditions we have as a nation. Whether its laying on the couch all day after a massive lunch watching Christmas movies or visiting family, Christmas in Ireland is an incredible time for being around friends and family. One of the things I look forward to each year from a retail/fashion lovers perspective is visiting luxury department store Brown Thomas and its annual The Marvel Rooms and the spectacular window displays for which the store is famous for. For my Australian friends and readers, Brown Thomas is the chicest and most luxurious department store in Ireland, imagine Ireland's own little Harrods or Selfridges tucked along Dublin's premier shopping strip. Essentially The Marvel Rooms, for those who don't know the store that well, is an area of the store that showcases the most spectacular and most luxurious pieces from all the top designers through the Christmas period and unfortunately for me, I will miss it this year but the photos I have been seeing are incredible. Whether its a vast array of DVF clutches or a special Hermes Kelly or Birkin bag, everything is special and desirable. You also need to check out the Christian Louboutin Christmas tree created from his shoes. I could go on and on about the store and my love for it but have a look at the great little video of the creating of the windows this year below.
